? No Rules?! Boost isn't listed? Backup and Migrate, Backup Files, Module Filter. Search404, Update Advanced, Security Review, Site verification, Site Documentation.

Not a module, but I consider it mission critical: rubik (without the side bar functions). Much cleaner & easier for clients to use. Combined w/ Module Filter & Admin Menu, it's a much saner way use Drupal 6. Snapshot looks interesting.

ps/ if you're forced to used Poormanscron, it's time to find a new host. Even shared hosting allows cron.

Add "CODER" module also in the list. It's a very useful one.

Shawn, thanks for your thoughts. This is definitely one of the most useful Drupal utilities out there for serious Drupal devs. We'll be adding it to the list. Thanks again!

Drush (Drupal Shell) is the first module I install on all my sites. It not essential but it saves me a bunch of time installing/updating modules.

Israel, thanks for the suggestion. We just installed this module, and I must say, it's really handy. I can see how this would increase efficiency for a Drupal developer.

My first module is always the Administration Menu for easy, one-click access to all back-end pages.

Good list. I always like adding TinyMCE with the WYSIWYG module for clients to edit their own content easily, too. Good stuff, cheers!
